We have used blogger.com as our blog platform for many years. They have changed the way that they publish blog posts so we will no longer be using blogger.com. Blogger.com (a Google company) used to allow you to have a blog on the same domain as your web site (ie. tranquilblue.com/blog). Now they require you either have a subdomain at blogger.com (ie. tranquilblue.blogger.com) or a subdomain at your current domain (ie. blogger.tranquilblue.com). There are many search engine optimization advantages to having your blog on your domain. Unless your site is only a blog this is a search engine disadvantage. As any good web professional knows, search engine find-ability is key to running a successful e-business. We are not happy with Google's decision to change the way their blog system works and will be required to create a more search engine friendly blog.
